The studios are situated at the front of the Newroz tower overlooking the city centre and the mountains.
They are furnished including a writing desk and a high quality office chair so you can comfortably use the apartment for work purposes as well. The apartments have a queen sized “Murphy bed”. This is a high quality bed with hydraulic pistons that can be easily folded away in a cabinet in a few seconds. It saves a lot of space, and also gives the apartment a professional look without the bed being visible to the guests.
Bedroom Apartments
The furnished bedroom apartments are located at the back of the Newroz Tower overlooking a quiet neighbourhood and the Sami Abul Rahman Park. They have 2 compact bedrooms or 1 bedroom with a multipurpose room.
The living room is large and furnished including a writing desk and a high quality office chair so that the apartment can be conveniantly used for work purposes as well. The kitchen is in a separate room, which gives the apartment a more professional appearance when welcoming guests.
The multipurpose room has 2 bed-sized shelves mounted on the wall which can be used as bunk beds or as a large storage space. The main bedroom can be equipped with a single bed or a double bed, or 2 single beds. You can also change the setup at any time if needed.

The apartments are located in the Newroz Tower on the 60 Meter Street around the city center. Its location is the most favorable of all towers in Erbil, due to its proximity to the city center, the strategic 60 Meter road, but also in the safe and quiet west site of Erbil, and on walking distance from the famous Sami Abdul Rahman park and several other parks. Also, all specialized food shops, like grocery, vegetable shops, baker, butcher, and diary shops are in walking distance. The tower’s unique location makes it possible to have access to a wide range of facilities without the need for a car.
Walking distances to locations:
-Restaurants: 2 minutes walk.
-Fresh food shops (grocery, vegetable shops, baker, butcher, and diary shops). 6 minutes walk.
-Various non-food shops (pharmacy, electronics, travel agency, bar, liquor shop, barber, hardware, kitchen, mobile, and many more: 5 – 10 minutes walk.
– Gym: 5 minutes walk.
– Sami Abdul Rahman Park (The biggest city park in the Middle East. free facilities include: rubber covered running track, warm water showers, sports fields, basketball, tennis, football stadium, volleyball, climbing wall, picnic fields, playgrounds, gardens). Payed facilities: bicycle rental, golf car rental, gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, motor boat, water bike, horse riding, horse and carriage tour, cafeteria, restaurants). 10 minutes walk.
Erbil International Fair (weekly Business Expo’s): 8 minutes walk.
-Minarah Park (park with iconic 13th century minaret and hot air balloon): 10 minutes walk.
-Shanadar Park (large city park with cable cars): 13 minutes
-Aqua Park (water theme park with large outdoor swimming pools, also ice skating rink and paintball): 13 minutes
-Erbil Citadel and Bazaar (almost any object for sale in Erbil is available at the Bazaar area for the best price): 25 minutes walk. (About 7 minutes by car, put parking places can be hard to find). A taxi is a good alternative.
-Airport (car only): 16 minutes drive.
Safety and Security
Road safety in general is poor in Erbil. The city is overcrowded with cars and has chaotic traffic situations. Road traffic accidents are frequent, as can be seen in the Accident Map. The area surrounding Samy Abdul Rahman Park has a significantly lower number of accidents (safe zone) than other areas. The Newroz Tower is also located in the centre of this secure area. This zone is much less crowded and has a better infrastructure than the rest of Erbil, which promotes the security and the quality of life of this area.
The Erbil Tower has office hours reception and 24/7 security available. The tower is located near the Parliament, the Ministry of the Interior and the Headquarters of the Security Police. In case of any security incident, a fast and adequate Police response can be expected. In addition, residents (including temporary residents) of the tower must undergo a police security check before they can stay overnight in the tower.

The main bedroom can be fitted with a singe bed or a double bed or 2 single beds. It is also possible to easily change the double bed for a single bed or 2 single beds and vice versa. This way you can increase the number of beds, in case, for instance the family comes over to stay in Erbil for the holidays. The apartment has standard 3 mattresses, sizes 1.60cm by 2m, 90cm by 1.9m and 80cm by 1.9m, but extra mattresses can be provided at no extra cost.
